The Project Team
The Project Team consists of local residents, businesses and organisations which hold a specific interest in the Danbury Parish and has the responsibility for drafting the Danbury Neighbourhood Plan.
The Project Team is composed of a Steering Group and currently three Working Groups with support from Danbury Parish Council as the 'qualifying body' responsible for the plan.
Anyone in the parish can join the Project Team or attend a meeting - please have a look at our Calendar of Events under 'Get Involved'
Steering Group
The role of the Steering Group is to deliver a Plan, that is reflective of the Community’s views. The Steering Group will meet every month until the Plan is approved by referendum.

Working Groups
The following Working Groups have been created:
Communications to:
- Encourage residents, businesses and others (stakeholders) with an interest to participate at all stages so that the Plan is informed by the views of stakeholders
- Allow people who live and work in the Parish of Danbury to engage with the Neighbourhood Planning process using a variety of communication channels.
Vision and Objectives to:
- Create a vision statement to describe what we want the parish to look like at the end of the plan in 2036. This includes what facilities will be needed and what it will be like to live and work here
- Identify the objectives which will help deliver our vision. These will be broad statements of intent which should clearly link back to the issues we are seeking to address through our neighbourhood plan.
Research to:
- To provide evidential data from authenticated sources
- Identify land use within the village
- Create consultation opportunities to gain the views of our stakeholders.
